In the first hour, no debate was held. The chairs decided to talk about the 20 amendments/topics proposed by delegates. The topic they spoke about was the use of the military aspect of space tech. Each amendment had pro- and counter-arguments by 2 to 3 speakers. The most talkative and responsive from the delegates were the UK, China, Iran and Russia. The rest of the delegates also took part in the discussions, but they didn’t speak as much and as confidently as the ones mentioned before.

Now speaking more about the amendments: each amendment was mentioned and chosen to be either friendly or unfriendly. Now, friendly means that (as said earlier) some delegates would comment on the positive opinions (in favor, to be more exact) and others would state the cons of said amendment (not in favor/against). Friendly topics would be instantly passed and added to the resolutions. Topics that were named to be unfriendly, would be executed exactly like a friendly one, only that at the end people would vote for the topic to either be passed and added to the resolutions list or be failed and not be mentioned again. If the delegates were equal on the for or against vote, the chairs would do a rematch and tell the participants to maybe reconsider their opinion. Almost half of the amendments were passed.

After a whole hour of voting and hearing opinions, the break was nearing, so the chairs decided to open the gossip box to make the atmosphere in the class a lot more casual and funny, the public cracking a lot of jokes in between hearing the “tea”.
