Head of the Crisis Committee
Before his first MUN in Germany, Matei’s passion for debating hadn’t found a place to put itself to use yet. His apparent skill to always speak the winning argument came forward with the introduction of MUNs, and the Crisis experience taught him just how crucial critical thinking is to the discussion. MUN has gone to a point beyond passion, where if asked about his experience, his answer would be “I just found my future job,” potentially followed by hourlong discussions where his infatuation with the topic becomes apparent. Matei is a rational thinker with a keen eye for letting everybody voice their opinion. He is friendly and reliable and all the things a great Head of Crisis needs to be.
Head of the German Committee
Mara Ropota is a student in the 11th garde at the Goethe German College. Disovering her passion for the German language at a young age, Mara has since been very enthusiastic in engaging in several German promoting activities and projects. Mara has learned her attraction for diplomacy when attending her first MUN Conference, the 2017 edition of SEBMUN. She has since partaken in MUN Conferences in Stuttgart and Kiehl, as a German-speaking delegate. She is thrilled to have you a part of the journey of the first simultaneous German and English speaking MUN Conference as the head of the German Committee, The European Council: ,,Daher, liebe MUNchichis, freue ich mich sehr, euch alle kennenzulernen, zusammen Spaß an den Debatten zu haben und die tollste MUN-Erfahrung zu machen. Bis dann! Akklamationen sind jetzt ausnahmsweise gestattet!’’
