The General Assembly

The representatives of five countries, China, France, The Russian Federation, The United Kingdom and the United States of America, explained their position on the debating subjects of SOCHUM, DISEC, League of Nations, Legal and the Security Council in the first general assembly.

The speeches were started by the delegate of China. The first approached problem was the one regarding the role of private military companies in war zones. The issue has to be taken “step by step”, making sure to provide security to those on the front. Furthermore, their position regarding the abortion ban in Alabama is against the motion. Having received multiple accusations regarding the secret re-education camps, the delegate defended the country by reassuring that there are no reasons to believe that the government is using any illegal methods in the camps. It was also mentioned that the automated weapon systems should only be used for defensive matters.

The second speech was held by a delegate of France. In the introduction, it was said that we, as humans, should be having the best times of our lives, as the technological and medical field are blooming, yet we are riding the express train at full speed to auto destruction. Their opinion on the matter of the militarization of space is that is should remain an exploration zone NOT a war zone. They are also willing to fight terrorism by any means.

The Russian Federation continued by stating that they are being very efficient in tackling terrorism, an issue created by defending an ideology a wrong way. Another problem they confronted was introducing sex education classes, in order for abortions to become unnecessary and only a last resort solution.

The fourth speaker of the general assembly was UK’s delegate. They sustained the idea of placing satellites in space in order to protect its civilians. They mentioned being pro abortion. The speaker also held China responsible for inhuman methods used in the so called re-education camps, saying hints had been dropped that the initiative was a “mass incarceration of religious minorities”. The BREXIT matter was also pointed out.

The general assembly ended with the word of the United States of America. The USA wants to avoid the abuse of power, fight war, terror and extremist movements in the Horn of Africa and is open to discussion in the abortion ban in Alabama case. The spokesperson criticized China for the “concentration” camps and sustained the idea that the prisoners are put in danger.
