Room 1 of the crisis was silent when I walked inside. Some technical problems delayed the debates, yet the delegates remained concerned with their future speeches, keeping some little discussions going on.
Room 2 of the crisis committee gathered the biggest names in the political world. It is easy to understand why, with Trump, Dalai Lama and Angela Merkel around, the atmosphere was far from being clumsy. As an outside observer, I could feel a little bit of nervousness in there, but this just broke the tranquility and assured a fresh start.
In the west side of the conflict the moment that created the opportune atmosphere for action and words –so, for delegates to come out of their shells– was the mock debate on the topic of isolating the emu communities in Australia in order to keep Australians safe.
Angela Merkel expressed her straightforward opinion that “emus are wild animals, and we would need a lot of time to domesticate them. However, we don’t have much time with people`s lives are being put at danger”. Trump made his pacifist intervention by stating that ”Australia would do a better job to keep emus alive rather than killing them”.
Finally, the emus` community declared that “emus came out victorious and Australia lost the war”. “We have our tools to turn around the tables. Only our feathers and long feet will help us fight, and any country that opposes us will see blood”.
From a brighter perspective, less bloody, a VSCO girl has been identified in the gossip box. Emanuel Macron, represented by a girl, wore a scrunchie and had a hydroflask in front of him. As we tried to figure out what exactly a VSCO girl is, chairperson Daria Goldenberg described her as a “hippie girl”, “naturally beautiful”.
Going back to our conflict, the topic has been announced and the west side of the conflict started to prepare to fight for the autonomy of the Chinese regions, while the east side begin to work for maintaining the sovereignty of the People`s Republic of China.
